RUAG Aviation is a leading life cycle support provider for selected aircraft and helicopters in the civil and military industries. Its core competences include fixed-based operation (FBO) and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, system upgrades as well as cabin and painting solutions.

The company provides FBO services through its RUAG Aircraft Service Network, which operates facilities in Geneva (CH) and Munich (DE). These include private, fully-equipped passenger and crew lounges, a comprehensive portfolio of services on the flight line as well as parking and hangaring amenities.

RUAG Aviation’s specialists also assist customers with organising flight plans, slot coordination, prior permission required (PPR), weather information and Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).

RUAG Aviation maintains close relationships with a network of OEMs. Its Pilatus Authorised Centre is one of Europe’s largest service providers for the Pilatus PC-12; it is responsible for the marketing, servicing and maintenance of PC-12 aircraft in France, Benelux and North Africa.

The company is an Authorised Service Centre for Dassault Falcon and Piaggio, an Authorised Centre for Embraer Legacy and Lineage aircraft, and a Cessna Authorised Service Centre for Citations. Additionally, it is a Bombardier Authorised Service Facility for Challenger and Global aircraft, a Major Service Centre for Honeywell TFE and CFE engines, as well as a line station for Pratt & Whitney PT6 engines. Its avionic and cabin system upgrades are supported by the company’s status as an Authorised Dealer for OEMs such as Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and Garmin.

Headquartered in Emmen, near Lucerne (CH), RUAG Aviation is one of five divisions of the Swiss technology group RUAG. It currently employs approximately 2,300 people at facilities in various locations across Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia, Australia and the USA. The facilities in the latter two countries are operated by RUAG Aviation’s subsidiaries, Rosebank Engineering Australia and Mecanex USA, respectively.
RUAG Aviation is a certified Part 21J EASA Design Organisation, Part 21G EASA Production Organisation and Part 145 EASA Maintenance Organisation.
