Gulfstream Aerospace celebrates flight test program milestone

Gulfstream Aerospace has reflected on the first ten flight tests for the Gulfstream G500 and Gulfstream G600 jets. The jets are twin-engine, with the G500 replacing the G450. The G500 has a range of 5,000 nautical miles (9,260km) at Mach 0.85, with nonstop flights connecting distant cities such as Istanbul to Cape Town, Los Angeles to London, and San Francisco to Tokyo. The G600 can fly 4,800 nautical miles (8,890km) at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90, and seats up to 19 passengers, with room for nine to sleep.

Avfuel adds Temple Airport in Texas to network

The Avfuel Corporation has welcomed Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport, located in Temple, Texas – also known as Temple Airport – to its network of more than 650 branded fueling locations. As a member, Temple will be able to be part of Avfuel’s customer loyalty program, Avtrip.

The airport is located in central Texas, near Austin, Waco, Dallas and Fort Hood, and handles regular business aviation, medivac and military aircraft traffic. It has been honored in the past as the State Airport of the Year, with a general aviation terminal, free parking, aircraft charter, training, rental and maintenance facilities.

Mark Haynes, vice president of sales west, Avfuel, said, “The addition of Temple Airport to our branded fueling locations adds great value to the Avfuel network. It’s an upstanding location that’s dedicated to serving the vast array of aviation segments our industry has to offer with friendly service, and just the kind of location our loyal flight departments are looking for in the heart of Texas.”
