Gulfstream Aerospace celebrates flight test program milestone

Gulfstream Aerospace has reflected on the first ten flight tests for the Gulfstream G500 and Gulfstream G600 jets. The jets are twin-engine, with the G500 replacing the G450. The G500 has a range of 5,000 nautical miles (9,260km) at Mach 0.85, with nonstop flights connecting distant cities such as Istanbul to Cape Town, Los Angeles to London, and San Francisco to Tokyo. The G600 can fly 4,800 nautical miles (8,890km) at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90, and seats up to 19 passengers, with room for nine to sleep.

ExecuJet Zurich becomes first Swiss FBO to gain IS-BAH Stage II accreditation

Luxaviation Group company ExecuJet has receive International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage II accreditation for its Zurich FBO, making it the first FBO in Switzerland to obtain the award.

The FBO based at the ExecuJet Aviation Centre at Zurich International Airport features a private hangar, private ramp, VIP lounge and separate pilot’s lounge.

Ettore Poggi, Group FBO director of Luxaviation Group, said, “Throughout the Luxaviation Group we operate a universal standard of customer service, safety and quality that is outstanding. Four of the 25 FBOs in our network are IS-BAH accredited, including Berlin, Brussels, Lanseria and Zürich, showcasing the quality of our support services and our commitment to using the most comprehensive assessments available.

“We are always looking to improve the service we provide our customers and we are looking forward to achieving Stage II accreditation at more of our facilities in due course.”

Basil Gamper, manager at ExecuJet’s Zurich FBO, added, “We are extremely proud to have achieved IS-BAH Stage II accreditation, making us one of only a handful of FBOs in Europe to do so.

“This accreditation is recognition and reward for all the hard work that has been put into the facility since its opening in 2003 and underpins the importance we place on safety and regulatory standards.”
