Discussions surrounding what the hub could evolve into by 2045 included the airport’s strengths, thoughts on the return of scheduled services and opportunities for growth.

The future of flying

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has published a report in cooperation with young people think tank ThinkYoung called Expanding Horizons: How Millennials see the Future of Business Aviation. The survey asked young people aged 18-25 in Germany, France, the UK and Switzerland about mobility, business aviation and the future of sustainable personal air transport. Universal Aviation Singapore earns IS-BAH accreditation

Universal Aviation Singapore – based at Seletar Airport (WSSL) – has earned accreditation under the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) program.

Singapore joins the Universal Aviation London Stansted hub as the company’s second location to become IS-BAH accredited. Universal Aviation has more than 40 locations in 20 countries.

Yvonne Chan, managing director at Universal Aviation Singapore, said, “Earning our IS-BAH accreditation is validation of our ongoing commitment to safety and ensuring our clients’ mission success by reducing their operating risk and stress.

“We are proud to earn this level of distinction, as it demonstrates to our customers and stakeholders our unwavering dedication to implementing industry-recognized best practices for safety, systems, training and security.”

Charlie Mularski, senior vice president, international, at Universal Weather and Aviation, added, “Throughout 2018 and early 2019, we anticipate five more Universal Aviation locations to be audited for IS- BAH accreditation.

“Our clients’ missions are stressful. We’re ensuring they can be at ease, knowing we are meeting and exceeding business aviation’s best safety and security procedures when operating to our Universal Aviation locations.”
