Jetex set to open FBOs in Ireland and Cote d’Ivoire

Jetex is expanding its global network with two new FBOs set to open in Ireland and Cote d’Ivoire.

Jetex will open a new FBO adjacent to the main terminal at Dublin Airport in Ireland. The new facility will have a lounge for crew and for passengers and a platinum lounge. Services will include ground handling, fuel, concierge, and a full dispatch package. The site is set to be operational from late June.

Private jet traffic at Dublin Airport is growing, with an average of 3,500 departures every year.

Brendan McQuaid, managing director for Jetex’s Dublin FBO, said, “It’s the perfect time for Jetex to open here. Dublin is booming right now, the airport itself is scaling up, and there are so many jet operators and corporations thaat generate a lot of air traffic. We needed Jetex in Dublin.”

Meanwhile, in Africa, Jetex has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with airport management company Aeria to be the exclusive operator and manager of the newly built FBO in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The handover for the current FBO at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport is scheduled to take place in July. The full offering of flight support, ground transfer, and bespoke concierge services will be available at the 1,000m² (10,763ft²) facility.

Salem Youssef, president for Europe at Jetex, commented, “We chose Abidjan because it is an economic powerhouse for West Africa. It’s a very urbanized and industrial city. We’re excited to offer VIP service and become the first to do so in the region. We’re looking forward to welcoming passengers at our new FBO very soon.”

The new addition will be Jetex’s first FBO in West Africa.
