Hybrid Air Vehicles and Design Q have unveiled the Airlander 10 passenger cabin. Travelers will have luxurious private en-suite bedrooms and will be able to enjoy horizon-to-horizon views in the aircraft’s infinity lounge. The Altitude Bar will offer drinks with a view, while there is space for 18 guests to enjoy fine dining in the sky.

Forming the future of Wanaka Airport

Residents in Wanaka, New Zealand, were encouraged to join conversations on the future of Wanaka Airport at interactive community and stakeholder engagement sessions. Discussions surrounding what the hub could evolve into by 2045 included the airport’s strengths, thoughts on the return of scheduled services and opportunities for growth.

Executive AirShare announces team promotions

Executive AirShare (EAS) has announced promotions and the creation of new positions within its organization to support the company’s anticipated growth.

The company promotes Brian Jewell to vice president of training, compliance and strategy. Jewell has served as chief pilot and director of operations in his 13 years at EAS.

Alex Franz, formerly chief pilot who joined EAS in 2003, becomes vice president of flight operations and serves as director of operations FAR 119. He will oversee pilots, flight control and the newly created position of fuel purchaser.

Ben Petersen, an 11-year EAS pilot, steps into the chief pilot role from assistant chief pilot and will oversee the company’s crew members.

Case May has been promoted to the newly created position of general manager of managed aircraft for Executive Flight Services, the company’s aircraft management and charter services subsidiary. He has worked for EAS for five years, within owner services and charter sales.

Len Durr will become a full-time pilot after previously serving as director of managed aircraft.

Harry Mitchel, chief operation officer at Executive AirShare, commented, “With these strategic realignments and the experience each person brings to his position, we are well positioned for growth and prosperity.

“These changes ensure that we maintain the highest level of operations within the industry, which helps provide the outstanding safety and service our customers expect and deserve.”
