Atlantic Aviation has announced a significant new addition to its network on the Eastern Seaboard as it begins management of fixed base operations (FBO) at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).
The company has completed its move into the new location and begun serving customers.
The lease on the property and facilities was awarded to Atlantic Aviation following a rigorous Request for Proposal (RFP) competition conducted by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
Atlantic Aviation plans to enhance its presence at IAD through both expansion and facility improvements.
Its facility at IAD currently includes a 14,200 square-foot terminal, six hangars totaling 150,000 square-feet, and 59,000 square-feet of combined office and shop space.
“This is a terrific development for all of us,” said Tim Bannon, chief operating officer at Atlantic Aviation.
“The addition of IAD adds to our growing number of locations at the nation’s top 20 general aviation airports and allows us to now seamlessly serve more customers on the Eastern Seaboard with the same high quality of safety and care our team provides at every Atlantic Aviation location.”
