As part of its ongoing efforts to achieve a more sustainable aviation industry, Azzera, a leader in providing sustainability solutions for aviation, has announced that it has been awarded a contract through the Government of Canadaβs Innovative Solutions program, to test CELESTE, its digital platform supporting total emissions management for aviation operators.
In this pilot project, being managed by Transport Canada, Azzera is delivering a fully integrated solution to three Canadian airlines for testing, with a view to advancing successful market introduction.
Major Canadian airlines are required by Transport Canada to adhere to international standards, including ICAOβs CORSIA. This necessity for precise, real-time emissions tracking and quality mitigation solutions forms the impetus for testing the capabilities of Azzeraβs CELESTE platform.
The platform provides access to voluntary and compliance carbon credit trading, sustainable aviation fuel certificates (SAFc), fleet management software integration and compliance market segregation services.
βAzzera is proud to support Canadaβs efforts, with the aviation industry, to advance a sustainable future and to enable direct climate action against emissions,β said Puja Mahajan, CEO of Azzera.
“Transport Canadaβs testing of the CELESTE platform will provide valuable insights about the potential of the innovative technology to drive meaningful change. Weβre looking forward to demonstrating how CELESTE can revolutionize emissions management for the betterment of the industryΒ and the environment.β
The platform automates Data Validation and the segregation of flights into appropriate emissions compliance markets, thereby offering significant time savings.
Additionally, CELESTE offers solutions specifically to address the emissions generated by aircraft, such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel, compliance allowances, and high-quality CORSIA-eligible carbon credits.
It effectively consolidates cradle-to-grave emissions management into a single solution. With the integration of CELESTE, these airlines will benefit from a streamlined approach to emissions management and a one-stop shop for mitigation solutions.
