Weston Aviation has established its fifth location in the UK and Ireland by partnering with the aether private terminal at Manchester Airport, extending its ground handling capabilities at one of Britain’s busiest aviation hubs.
The company has begun offering complete FBO services through the recently opened aether facility, which launched in late 2024. This strategic move strengthens Weston Aviation’s position as the second-largest FBO network in the UK and Ireland, the company said.
“We are thrilled to begin offering our full suite of services at aether – an exceptional facility that aligns perfectly with our market and our commitment to providing outstanding customer care,” said Nick Weston, CEO of Weston Aviation.
The partnership combines Weston’s FBO expertise with aether’s terminal facilities, which include dedicated dining experiences and direct airside transfers. The arrangement comes as private aviation demand continues to increase at Manchester.
Marie-Claire Sheedy, partnership manager at aether, described the collaboration as “a natural fit” based on shared service values. “Together, we’re expanding the premium experience available to private aviation customers at Manchester,” she said.
The aether terminal operates separately from Manchester’s main passenger facilities and offers chauffeur-driven BMW transfers directly to and from aircraft. The facility was designed specifically to provide privacy and convenience for high-end travelers.
Weston Aviation’s other FBO locations include Gloucestershire Airport, Cornwall Airport Newquay, Humberside Airport and Cork Airport. The company has operated in the business aviation sector since 1995.
The new Manchester FBO services are already accepting bookings from both passengers and operators, providing ground handling and support services focused on efficiency and customer care.
Manchester represents a significant addition to Weston’s network, giving the company presence at a major international gateway serving northwest England with extensive domestic and global connectivity.
CAVU, which owns and operates the aether terminal, has developed the facility with premium amenities including dining experiences by noted chef Adam Reid and streamlined check-in processes designed for private aviation clients.
