Air Charter Service (ACS), has become the official private charter supplier to Silverstone.
The partnership will see ACS, along with its long-standing partner Helipad, deliver an improved customer experience at the heliport, which will be launched at the British Grand Prix along with a series of new aviation products for those looking to enjoy the ultimate Silverstone experience year-round.
The partnership aims initially to bring the heliport experience at Silverstone in line with what customers traveling by helicopter have come to expect.
The heliport during the British Grand Prix welcomes more than 6,000 passengers on over 1,500 flights, and this new partnership will see a bespoke terminal structure offering over 8,500 square feet of space, featuring Helipad’s proprietary passenger system and ACS flight representatives providing hospitality.
Following this, ACS plans to launch a series of private aviation solutions for Silverstone’s clients looking to visit the iconic circuit.
From bespoke private jet and helicopter charters set to customers schedules throughout the year, to a park and fly offering on a dedicated helicopter shuttle from Turweston Aerodrome during the British Grand Prix.
James Leach, CMO at Air Charter Service said, “Silverstone circuit has been at the centre of a sport which focuses on nothing but delivering excellence for 75 years. You can feel the absolute focus on continuous improvement when you are there. As an organization we share that commitment to excellence and want to showcase what we can deliver in terms of customer experience, not just during the British Grand Prix, but throughout the year.
“Silverstone has a huge amount of high-end hospitality to offer, especially with their new Escapade offering and we feel private aviation can help more racing fans experience it. The benefits of private aviation mainly revolve around time saving, with our helicopter shuttles saving many people on average between two and five hours, whilst those travelling from abroad by private jet can often save even more time. We believe that whatever private aviation solution clients choose, the experience needs to be exceptional and that is what we intend to deliver.”
Nick Read, chief commercial officer at Silverstone said, “As Silverstone continues on its journey to become a year-round world class business and leisure destination, we have seen a growing number of visitors choosing to arrive by helicopter. In ACS we’ve found a partner who not only shares our passion for providing exceptional service but who has the knowledge and experience to run what is the busiest airspace in Europe over the weekend of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.”
