McKinney Air Center – the FBO at McKinney National Airport in Texas – has been named the best FBO in the USA in the 2018 Pilots’ Choice Awards by FltPlan.com for the third consecutive year.
The Pilots’ Choice awards are voted by pilots and aviation professionals directly using the FBOs.
McKinney Air Center was also rated the best regional FBO in the south-central US region and the second best Star FBO, which is determined using airport arrival data, votes received and on-field competition.
The Pete and Nancy Huff Air Traffic Control Tower at McKinney National Airport was named second best in the awards. The air traffic controllers at McKinney National Airport, who are employed by Robinson Aviation, compete against all control towers in the US, including those operated by the FAA.
Additionally, McKinney National Airport earned the number-two spot for their US Customs and Border Protection services.
Ken Carley, director of the McKinney National Airport, said, “This recognition by industry peers is a testament to the airport’s efforts to deliver on our commitment to offer an unparalleled customer experience to all those who use our airport.
“These awards confirm why we are proud to be investing in the future of our airport, which will better meet the needs of regional employers and help welcome even more people and jobs to our community and region.”
