The construction of a new 33,000 square foot FBO complex has begun at Wiley Post Airport in Bethany, Oklahoma.
JetSet has broken ground on the new facility, which will provide travelers flying by private jet with a place to purchase fuel and use meeting spaces, hangarage and a lounge.
Happy Wells, founder of JetSet, commented, “Wiley Post is a popular location for charter flights traveling across the country to refuel because of its central location and proximity to major cities in the region. Local traffic at the airport is also strong so we can offer essential services to travelers stopping for a short time or to people departing from the airport.
“When the facility opens early next year, it will be the third FBO at Wiley Post. Customers who use JetSet will enjoy the benefits of having more options for fueling and other services, but more importantly, our level of attention to the customer’s needs will make us stand out.”
More than 300 aircraft are based at Wiley Post, including 66 jets. In 2017, more than 65,000 operations occurred at Wiley Post, of which more than 37,000 were itinerant.
The FBO is expected to become operational in 2020.
