Sheltair has announced that its Northside hangar complex at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is now open.
This US$30-million facility includes eight hangars of up to 22,500 square feet with 28-foot doors, designed to accommodate large cabin-class sized aircraft like the G650 and Global Express.
In addition, it offers 31,000 square feet of adjacent office space and a dedicated road for the privacy of its customers. The complex’s location was strategically selected to provide a short taxi distance to the runway and easy access to major highways to the metropolitan area’s business districts.
“As a three-generation family business, our values are focused on the customer’s experience and our pursuit to deliver unmatched aviation products. There are no shortcuts to achieving these goals, and our FXE hangar complex reflects our sustained and undivided focus on what matters most, our customers,” said Sheltair president Lisa Holland.
Sheltair is providing flexibility for Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport lessees by allowing tenants to choose the option of private or community hangar space, plus the ability to customize spaces with build-to-suit options.
Sheltair’s hangar complex is also now home to Banyan Air Service’s Northside terminal, where the full-service FBO will provide its services, matching the caliber of its amenities. Expanding to the north side has allowed Banyan to meet the needs of a growing list of exclusive clientele that insist upon professional, private travel. The dedicated terminal building will remain open 24/7 to provide FBO services for the tenants, which, in turn, will allow customers to take advantage of the airport’s round-the-clock tower and security operations.
