Jet Aviation tells Business Airport International about the company’s plans for the annual NBAA conference and its business development plans for the coming year.
What will you be showcasing at S&D this year?
Jet Aviation will be showcasing our new, upgraded, or renovated facilities and services at Van Nuys, California; Bedford, Massachusetts; Teterboro, New Jersey; Palm Beach, Florida; and Dallas, Texas. We want to remind our S&D colleagues that we are the world’s only global network of nearly 50 expert and experienced one-stop-shop locations – FBO, maintenance, charter, and staffing.
How important is the event in the business aviation calendar and why?
S&D has become the place to be if you really want to do business in today’s business aviation service industry. It’s one of the top events for us to have the opportunity to talk to our customers and suppliers and with the schedulers and dispatchers we work with every day. We want to ensure that they know our capabilities and locations so they know we can help them provide the best service to their owners, operators, and clients.
S&D is our opportunity to emphasize that Jet Aviation operates a high-end, hospitality service model that takes care of all of customers’ business and travel needs.
What are you looking forward to seeing at this year’s event?
We are primarily looking forward to spending time and reconnecting with our customers and colleagues from all around the world, as well as meeting with local crew members looking for employment.
We’re also interested in understanding the charter needs of flight departments and learning how we can better work together as a community, to keep standards high and to keep passengers safe.
How has your business grown in the past few years?
We’ve added new locations at Washington/Dulles; Burbank, California; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Netherlands; and a substantial number in the Asia-Pacific market with the acquisition of Hawker Pacific. We’ve especially seen growth in our capabilities in charter and flight services on the West Coast.
What areas will you be developing over the next year or so?
We’re focused on improving the FBO experience for our customers, especially with new or renovated facilities and expanded amenities. We’ll also be delivering services at new locations in the Asia-Pacific market through our acquisition of Hawker Pacific.
