Bombardier’s Aircraft Service Centres network has announced the completion of 75 120-month heavy inspections of Global business jets. With Bombardier’s network of more than 700 Global aircraft worldwide, the 120-month inspection is described as one of the largest maintenance events such a jet will endure; it takes place in the jet’s tenth year of service, and involves the disassembly and checking of the airframe, structure and landing gear. The fleet, which features Global 5000, Express, XRS and 6000 models, is said to have reached two million flight hours, performing nearly 700,000 landings.
Stan Younger, vice president of Bombardier’s Aircraft Service Centres, said, “This milestone demonstrates our experience, our expertise and, most importantly, our ability to offer customers peace of mind, particularly when faced with one of the most critical inspections in the product’s lifecycle. No other maintenance provider comes close to the level of expertise we, as the aircraft manufacturer, have on this aircraft or this inspection.”
