Desert Jet’s founder and CEO Denise Wilson has been recognized by the Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley (WLF) during its Sixth Annual Awards Luncheon and Scholarship Fundraiser Event, which was hosted at the Agua Calienta Spa & Resort, California.
Wilson is one of four women that WLF honored with the ‘Women Who Rule’ award for their community leadership, public service, commitment to education and visionary entrepreneurship. Each honoree has exemplified their dedication to educating, inspiring and empowering others. Wilson will be receiving the WLF Desert Visionary Award.
Commenting on the award, Wilson said, “I’m honored to be recognized by the Women Leaders Forum. At a time when the value of the contribution of women is in the limelight, organizations such as the Women Leaders Forum are crucial to developing our next generation of women leaders”.
Founded over 18 years ago, the WLF’s mission is to empower and develop women leaders of all ages and backgrounds in the community and fund college scholarships for promising members enrolled in WLF’s Young Women Leaders Mentoring Program.
Members of WLF are currently mentoring over 60 young women leaders – all of which are high school seniors – in individualized one-on-one programs.
