Manny Aviation Services, which offers a range of services for business aviation in Mexico, from charter to ground handling, has been granted International Standards for Business Aviation Handlers (IS-BAH) accreditation. This confirms that the company maintains a high level of service, with a good approach to safety, as outlined by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).
In a statement, Manuel Romero Vargas Jr, the son of the company’s late founder, Manuel (‘Manny’) Romero Vargas, recalled how he introduced the idea of IS-BAH to his father in 2014, shortly before his death. Vargas Sr wholeheartedly approved of the accreditation and oversaw the registration for the assessment.
Vargas Jr said, “After more than two years of hard work and team effort, we scheduled our Stage One audit with Captain Ken Qualls, who spent a week with us in December 2016, watching as we serviced aircraft in coordination with third parties, such as the FBO we use at Toluca International Airport. We showed how Manny executes the coordination from our CCO, and so forth.
“This is now the beginning of an exciting and challenging journey, training new staff under IS-BAH protocols; with opportunities to share our knowledge with the other FBOs at Toluca, explaining how important it is to be proactive rather than reactive to safety. We encourage all FBOs and handlers to adopt IS-BAH.”
