Aitheras Aviation Group has added a Challenger 601 jet to its fleet. The Challenger will be available for air medical transports and corporate and executive charter. This the company’s newest addition, enhancing the size and range of its 12-plane fleet.
The Challenger is a nine-passenger jet manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace and has a speed of up to 459mph and a range of 3,875 miles. The jet will be based at Cleveland’s Burke Lakefront Airport along with five other planes in the Aitheras fleet.
The plane can be converted from an executive charter configuration to a medical bed configuration within two hours. When in medical service, Aitheras provides a medical team to support the needs of the patient. The available medical personnel include physicians, nurse-practitioners, registered nurses, respiratory therapists and paramedics.
Aitheras currently operates from three base locations: Cleveland, Ohio; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
