Business jet OEM Bombardier has announced a firm order of 12 CHallenger 3500 aircraft.
The order is worth US$326.4 million, based on 2023 list prices.
Deliveries of the 12 aircraft are planned to begin in in the second half of 2025.
The super-midsize market leader was selected because of its outstanding performance, refined cabin and sustainably minded features, said the Bombardier.
Éric Martel, president and CEO of Bombardier said, “We are proud that the Challenger 3500 jet sparks such confidence as the aircraft of choice for a vast majority of operators around the world, and continues to meet and exceed the expectations of its discerning clientele.
“The Challenger 3500 jet is truly a force to be reckoned with, and this order is a clear demonstration that this platform offers the exceptional experience that clients are seeking.”
The Challenger 3500 jet offers Bombardier’s Nuage seats alongside side cabin technology that provide a reduced cabin altitude of 4,850 ft at 41,000 ft, representing a 31% improvement compared to its predecessor.
The aircraft also offers the industry’s first voice-controlled cabin to manage lighting, temperature and entertainment systems, the first wireless chargers throughout the cabin and the only 24-inch, 4K display in its class. In the cockpit, Bombardier introduces a standard-equipped autothrottle system to the Challenger 3500 flight deck, which offers the most baseline features in its class.
The Challenger 3500 was launched in September 2021 with first deliveries commencing during June 2023 in Europe.
