Duncan Aviation’s aircraft sales team is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its aircraft acquisition service. Founded 61 years ago as an aircraft sales organization, Duncan Aviation was initially known for selling aircraft. In 1992, Duncan Aviation added acquisition services to its offering.
J Robert Duncan, chairman emeritus of Duncan Aviation, said, “A good friend asked me for consultation assistance in the acquisition of a business aircraft. He didn’t know where to start. I knew there were others like him, and a new service offering was born.
“Today, Duncan Aviation’s expert aircraft sales representatives still provide acquisition assistance for many customers, as well as aircraft consignment services and representation during pre-purchase evaluations.
“Not only did the success of the aircraft acquisition service help many new owners find the best aircraft for their needs, it introduced new users to business aviation and helped spread the word about the advantages businesses have when they have these transportation tools available when they need them.
“It is important for businesses and industries to try new ideas and serve the market in different ways. That’s a basic formula for growth and improvement.”
Duncan Aviation is now most known for its MRO capabilities, but still has a seven-member aircraft sales team that provides pre-owned aircraft sales, acquisition and consignment services.
