The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) has awarded Calspan Air Services the contract to continue operating as the FBO for the Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG). The 10-year agreement will allow Calspan to continue serving visitors in Niagara Falls.
Calspan Air Services became the FBO for IAG when awarded the same contract in 2013. Under this contract, Calspan Air Services offers aircraft refueling, de-icing, cleaning, water service, air start, air stairs, belt loaders, crew cars and other services to smaller business class jets and private charter planes. These services are available to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
Calspan Air Services also performs refueling services for US government and military aircraft, in addition to performing full service ground handling for the commercial airlines operating out of IAG including Spirit and Allegiant Airlines.
Calspan intends to further invest to support needed capital improvements to the FBO facilities and the services offered to its business and hobby visitors.
Lou Knotts, CEO of Calspan, said, βThe Niagara Falls Airport has become a popular place for private planes, due to its proximity to downtown Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Many donβt realize just how easy it is to fly in and out of the Calspan Air Services FBO at Niagara Falls.β
