Omaha-based Jet Linx Aviation has opened its new Houston base at Hobby Airport, spanning 58,000ft² (5,390m²) of space, a 77% increase from the base’s initial size. The terminal features a private lounge and conference room exclusive to aircraft owners and jet card members.
The launch of the new, member-only Jet Linx Houston terminal follows the April 2018 ‘wet microburst’ at Hobby Airport, which produced winds of over 80mph and caused damage to the hangar.
Jamie Walker, president and CEO of Jet Linx, said, “We now have a new location with a bigger private terminal, bigger hangar, and better location to serve our clients. The secret to our success is the resilience of our dedicated local team and we will continue our unwavering commitment to delivering the most personalized private aviation experience.”
Lance Welch, base president of Jet Linx Houston, added, “Jet Linx Houston is stronger than ever, with an unfaltering dedication to client satisfaction. We took this opportunity to not only rebuild but also expand our private terminal to elevate the experience even further for our discerning members.”
The new space for Jet Linx Houston is the latest update to the company’s national portfolio of base locations, after celebrating the expansion of the Jet Linx private terminal in Washington, DC Jet Linx.
