Jetex, a global leader in executive aviation, last week served as the handling partner of Swiss luxury watchmaker and aviation chronograph specialist Breitling during the UAE leg of its Breitling DC-3 World Tour. The Jetex FBO terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport, southwest of Dubai, hosted the DC-3 aircraft on March 21-24, providing a full range of ground-support services.
The FBO has a 1,500m² lounge, on-site customs and immigration, and VIP ground transfer services. It caters regularly to private, business and government VIP travelers, offering 24/7 operation and round-the-clock customs clearance. This is also the first FBO with IS-BAH accreditation in the city.
Adel Mardini, CEO and president, Jetex, said, “We are delighted to be a part of history in the making as the Breitling DC-3 establishes itself as the oldest plane to circumnavigate the globe. This partnership underlines our shared commitment and passion for the aviation industry, and the Jetex promise of delivering the highest standards of service.”
Aed Adwan, Breitling Middle East, added, “As a privileged partner of aviation, Breitling has demonstrated its commitment to safeguarding aeronautical heritage by supporting the restoration of legendary aircraft such as the Douglas DC-3, which is making an historic stop in Dubai on this record-breaking world tour.”
