JetSupport, an independent provider of MRO services and support solutions, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has opened a remote station at Lelystad Airport, the biggest general aviation facility in the country. The new hangar will offer workshops and a lounge.
Lelystad Airport is currently undergoing an expansion program – the runway is being extended by 45m to make it suitable for larger aircraft. The plan is for Lelystad to take over some of the commercial operations from Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, as the overall number of flights arriving to and departing from the country increases.
JetSupport has been in operation for more than 15 years, assisting to the business jet, turboprop and general aviation markets. Among the services on offer are major and minor airframe inspections, engine maintenance, major retrofits for cabin and cockpit systems, repairs and overhauls. If successful, JetSupport will look to expand its presence at Lelystad, either by building additional hangar space or acquiring existing facilities.
