London Biggin Hill Airport is set to create 2,300 new jobs at the hub over the next twenty years as part of its London Centre for Aviation, Technology and Enterprise (LoCATE) strategy.
LoCATE is a partnership of public and private sector organizations that promotes London Biggin Hill as a primary center for the aerospace industry in the UK capital. It sets out London Biggin Hill’s vision for a sustainable future for both the airport and the local community by investing in infrastructure, skills development, training and job creation.
Robert Walters, business development director at London Biggin Hill Airport, commented, “As part of our growth strategy we are aiming to break new ground on several major projects in 2018, including an on-site airport hotel and a London Aerospace and Technology College. These two projects will further strengthen our position as London’s leading business aviation hub and will inspire the next generation of aerospace professionals.
“As the only dedicated business aviation airport within the capital, we truly are the gateway to London for the many international businesses interacting with the capital and LoCATE demonstrates the airport’s ongoing commitment to London and the borough of Bromley.”
