Malmö Airport in Sweden is set to become one of the premiere full-service private jet hubs in Northern Europe, following the creation of 55 North Group, a new alliance between ground handling company MTS Aviation and private jet charter broker Sand Aviation.
The airport will become a strong contender to Copenhagen, Roskilde and Billund airports for private jet owners and a serious alternative to other cross-Atlantic fuel stops such as Reykjavik and Shannon.
The 55 North Group in Malmö offers a modern high service FBO with full VIP ground handling. The custom/immigration and security clearance is managed in house while aircraft parking can be provided in the air-conditioned hangar. Jet A1 and Avgas 100LL refuelling and defueling, full catering, maintenance, private jet charter brokerage, flight planning and permits, crew recruiting and even private jet sales are also available.
“As the commercial capacity reaches its maximum on many airports the private jet sector has been looking for time and cost efficient alternatives.
