Steven Harfst has been appointed president of Propeller Airports, a subsidiary of Propeller Investments, which is overseeing the development and operation of Silver Comet Field at Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport, Georgia, and Paine Field, Washington, in the USA.
“Steve’s experience combines executive management with operational knowledge and expertise, which will be invaluable to Propeller as we grow our business,” said Brett Smith, CEO of Propeller. “We are excited to have Steve join our team.”
Harfst has over 30 years of leadership experience in the aviation industry, including in the military. In the domestic and international commercial aviation industry he served as the COO of Allegiant Air; president and CEO of USA3000 Airlines; the start-up COO of IndiGo, India’s most successful and profitable commercial airline; and COO of North American Airlines. Harfst began his aviation career with 10 years of military service as a United States Naval Aviator piloting the F-14 Tomcat.
“Our current projects at both Silver Comet and Paine Field represent great opportunities to provide convenient, accessible and affordable air transportation at airports and to markets that currently lack much needed passenger air transportation services,” Harfst said. “I am looking forward to working with the Propeller team to develop these projects and others around the country.”
