Russia’s most prestigious business aviation awards, the Wings of Business, have taken place at the Moscow City Golf Club. Attended by leading market players, business representatives and government officials, the event acknowledged the best of the year’s achievements and outstanding projects, split across 13 categories.
Founded by the Russian United Business Aviation Association (RUBAA), the Wings of Business winners were decided by a two-step voting process, with online voting creating a shortlist that was then scrutinized by the organization members. The 13 winners were narrowed down from over 60 companies from nine countries.
Awards were given for legendary person and company, manufacturer, maintenance and broker, as well as other disciplines. Big winners on the night were RusJet Aircompany, voted the Best Aviation Airline (Russia); Jet Story, which won Best Foreign Business Aviation Airline; and Luxaviation, which took home Best Aircraft Management.
Mikhail Titov, vice president, RUBAA, said, “The idea behind the Wings of Business awards is that the Russian business aviation industry is relevantly young, just 25 years old, but it has achieved a lot. Now it’s time to chronicle our successes and be proud of the achievements. We have put a lot of effort in to make the awards happen, and I was very glad to see the reaction it had from the industry. I hope that next year we will see more participants in all nominations, both Russian and foreign.”
