Business Airport International is proud to launch the Net Zero Hero campaign, which aims to help business aviation transition to an emissions-free industry.
We believe reducing emissions and acting sustainably need to sit alongside the sector’s core values of providing high-quality, tailored, and flexible air travel options to its customers. Only then can the sector secure a bright and profitable future. But we also understand the goal of Net Zero for many in business aviation is a challenging one.
Net Zero Hero’s aim is to communicate the message that business aviation’s shift to being emissions-free and sustainable, although tough, is necessary and possible.
Net Zero Hero will celebrate the people and companies leading the sector’s switch to emissions-free flight. We want you our readers to nominate the people and organizations who you see as truly committed to positively changing their company and reducing its environmental impact.
From the installation of solar panels or scaling up SAF supply, to electrifying ground transport, planning more fuel-efficient routes, or simply recycling and reusing, Net Zero Hero will provide a platform that communicates and champions sustainability success stories.
We promise to publish these stories in the magazine and online as well as promote them. We believe that by leveraging our position in the sector, we can help establish that Net Zero and business aviation’s commercial goals are closely aligned. Collaboration will help to disseminate ideas, best practices, advice and information about how to achieve these goals.
But that’s just the beginning. We want to work in partnership with the business aviation sector to help champion the cause of Net Zero and sustainability in whatever form that takes. So watch this space for other projects and opportunities to be involved with the change.
We do this not to silence protestors or avoid regulation, but because, as our first Net Zero Hero Alex Durant says overleaf, we need to do the right thing and be accountable.
