John Owen has been appointed president and CEO of Kansas-based air rental service Executive AirShare, having been interim president for two months.
Owen – who joined the company as chief financial officer (CFO) in 2016 – previously served as vice president for national search firm EFL Associates and as CFO for OrTran, a supply-chain management company. He succeeds Keith Plumb, who announced in February that he was stepping down.
Commenting on his appointment, Owen said, “I’m honored by this opportunity. I am indebted to the board and its confidence, and greatly appreciate the support of a talented executive team.
“Executive AirShare will continue to challenge the status quo of the industry to deliver the best aviation solutions to our clients. Whether through fractional or leasing options, we know our customers achieve greater financial gain and experience enhanced productivity by flying with Executive AirShare. Our entire team is privileged to fly them across the country, then back home to what matters most.”
Wiley Curran, management board member of Executive AirShare, and president and chairman of its majority owner, Curran Companies, added, “We’re confident in John’s leadership during a critical point in the growth of our business.
“We believe his passion, experience and extraordinary communication skills are exactly what are needed to guide our company and our talented group of professionals, who are dedicated to delivering the exceptional customer service that is synonymous with our brand.”
