Former Formula One World Champion, Mika Häkkinen has been named as FAI Aviation Group’s first celebrity brand ambassador.
Finnish born Häkkinen, nicknamed ‘The Flying Finn’ was F1 World Champion in 1998 and 1999, driving for McLaren.
In his role as brand ambassador, Häkkinen will promote FAI’s services with a particular focus on aircraft charter and management.
Siegfried Axtmann, founder and chairman of the FAI Aviation Group said, “Mika is a natural fit for the FAI brand with his track record of success in Formula One, his passion for excellence and focus on precision and performance. With his talent, we are delighted to be partnering with him and I look forward to strengthening the FAI brand together.”
Häkkinen said, “I have been a great advocate of business aviation for some years – it has enabled me to travel freely and flexibly particularly during my racing career. I am proud to be representing FAI. It’s competency as a business jet operator in terms of service excellence, attention to detail and emphasis on safety are impressive. I look forward to helping the brand go from strength to strength.”
FAI Aviation Group operates Germany’s largest fleet of business jets, flying them for more than 13,000 hours last year.
