Atlantic Aviation has moved into its new development at Portland International Airport, Oregon, where it broke ground almost a year ago. The facility includes two 30,000ft² hangars, each able to house aircraft up to G650 and Global 6000 size. There is also 15,490ft² of prime office and shop space.
The FBO terminal measures 12,112ft², with parking for 235 vehicles. It has a lobby with two fireplaces and a number of seating areas, with design elements that include stone and reclaimed wood. There are two well equipped conference rooms, and a café that can be used as an observation point for the aircraft ramp.
Built at a cost of £25m (US$30.6m approx), the company used its existing FBO at the airport while the new facilities were being built. The project was designed by JR Miller and Associates, and developed by Centrex Construction.
