McKinney National Airport has completed construction on a new 40,000ft2 (3,720m2) hangar as part of a public-private partnership with Western LLC.
The hangar is now the largest on the site and will store up to four Gulfstream G-550 aircraft in addition to office spaces ready for tenant finish out and eight enclosed garage spaces for car storage.
Ken Carley, airport director at McKinney National Airport, said, “Everything you can measure at the airport is trending up, from operations to fuel sales. This public-private partnership with Western LLC allowed the city to capitalize on their expertise and reputation as a well-respected developer in the aviation industry while helping us meet the demands of new businesses pouring into Collin County and the larger Dallas area.”
Brad Henderson, president and managing member of Western LLC, added, “The McKinney Airport and McKinney Air Center have been receiving national recognition for many years and we are grateful to partner with such an awesome team and community as they bring their facilities on par with their reputation for world-class service.”
