Sea Prime, an Italian business aviation services provider, is planning major improvements at two of its Milan locations. A new FBO and hangars are to be built at Milano Malpensa Prime, while hangars are also in the pipeline for Milano Linate, where it opened an FBO just one year ago – the first facility of its kind in the country.
The infrastructural developments will cost an estimated €20m (US$22m), with all work to be completed by 2020. The first stage will see the construction of the hangars at Milano Linate, with the Milano Malpensa Prime FBO to open in 2017.
Sea Prime, which was established in 2015, has already set up successful partnerships with other well known brands. For example, Milano Linate has a BMW Business Center, with product placement and its cars used for the transporting of guests, and Gate Gourmet Italia, which handles inflight catering, has set up a bar and restaurant, Prime Gusto, for crew and passengers within the FBO itself.
Chiara Dorigotti, general manager at Sea Prime, said, “Milano has always been an important center for business, but we believe it still has to deploy its full potential, not only in terms of the numbers of visitors but also with quality. Milano Linate Prime is conveniently located very close to the city center, while Malpensa Prime is strategically positioned in the northern area of Lombardia.”
