Universal Aviation Italy has marked the complete renovation of its ground support facilities at Rome Ciampino Airport (LIRA) with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by clients, partners, and airport officials.
The facility includes a brand-new and modern operations office, a crew business center and rest lounge, and a VIP lounge for passengers that looks out onto the ramp. Crews can take advantage of the rest lounge on the first floor of the terminal and a dedicated space adjacent to the operations office for their flight briefings.
Lorena Carraro, managing director at Universal Aviation Italy, said, “Rome Ciampino is the only airport where general aviation is allowed to operate in the Rome area, and we recognize this as a high-traffic and strategic location for business aviation operators.
“Our priority for this renovation was to dedicate private spaces for crews and passengers, as well providing the highest level of the amenities and features that are important to our clients. We are proud to offer our clients a warm welcome, granting them a unique experience in the ‘eternal city’ of Rome.”
Claudia Evans, who spoke on behalf of husband Greg Evans, chairman at Universal, added, “The renovation of our facilities in Rome Ciampino reinforces Universal’s commitment and Greg’s vision of accommodating our customers to the highest standards, delivering not only a successful mission but a Universal experience provided by the Universal team and family in over 20 countries today. We are continuing to expand, with more than 1,700 employees around the world providing an impeccable service every day.”
Universal Aviation is the ground support division of Universal and has over 50 locations in more than 20 countries, with four locations operated under Universal Aviation Italy. Its Rome Ciampino operation has the largest facility inside the general aviation terminal.
