ENG Aviation, a provider of organ transport services has announced it has chosen Taylor’s Gift Foundation, a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to providing cost-free grief support to families of organ donors, as its official charity partner.
For every organ flight hour with ENG Aviation, a portion will be donated to support the mission of Taylor’s Gift: to provide organ and tissue families with grief support after the tragic loss of their loved one.
“ENG plays a pivotal role in increasing the acceptance rates of organs for our transplant customers, and this vital process begins with donor families – the very place where the gift of life starts. By committing to Taylor’s Gift, we are not only supporting their essential mission but also contributing to a cause that touches countless lives,” said Cat Wren, ENG Aviation’s vice president.
Tara and Todd Storch of Coppell, co-founders of Taylor’s Gift Foundation, know all too well the emotions of experiencing a tragic loss.
In 2010, they lost their oldest daughter, Taylor, in a skiing accident. She went on to become an organ donor, saving the lives of five people.
To honor their daughter, they established Taylor’s Gift Foundation, which currently has supported families in 40
states.
“Through our experience with the loss of Taylor, and the gifts she was able to give through
organ donation, we recognized a need for increased grief support resources for donor families,”
said Tara Storch.
“When ENG Aviation approached us to become their charity partner, we knew immediately the immense impact such a collaboration could have, allowing more donor families to receive cost-free grief support and connect with others who have experienced similar pain and trauma.”
The two organizations marked the announcement with a ribbon-cutting event last month at the
Addison Airport. Representatives from ENG Aviation and Taylor’s Gift spoke about the
collaboration and the positive effect it will have on donor families.
