The Farnborough International Airshow 2020, due to take place in July, has been canceled.
Mary Kearney, head of PR and communications at Farnborough International said, “The unprecedented impact of the global coronavirus pandemic has forced this decision. We understand this news will be an incredible disappointment to all across the international aerospace industry, not to mention our important exhibitors, suppliers and visitors. We at Farnborough International share their disappointment that we are unable to present the Airshow as planned, but rest assured, we are determined to continue to work together and will ensure the Farnborough International Airshow returns in 2022 better than ever.”
This announcement comes just days after ILA Berlin 2020 announced it will not be taking place this year due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus.
The ILA had been scheduled to take place from May 13 to 17, 2020 at Berlin ExpoCenter Airport.
The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) also canceled the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition 2020 (EBACE 2020), earlier in the week due to concerns related to the rapidly evolving coronavirus outbreak.
