North American FBO operator Atlantic Aviation has acquired the former GE Hangar at Stewart International Airport, Orange County, New York. The company, headquartered in Plano, Texas, already has an FBO presence at the airport, with the 100,000ft² hangar adding to its list of offerings.
Features of the new facility include 60,000ft² of heated hangar and 40,000ft² of shop and office space. It can accommodate BBJ or A320 size aircraft, and has 60,000ft² of heated concrete apron, plus over 70,000ft² of ramp. There is also a spacious conference center, a weight room, overnight rooms, a full security gated entrance and 95 dedicated parking spaces. It can provide turnkey services for small or large flight departments.
