Apex Executive Jet Center (AEJC) is the new name for Baer Air, an FBO based at Orlando Melbourne International Airport, Florida, USA. The change comes as the company also announces its intentions to expand and upgrade its facilities and services. AEJC will continue its partnership with Avfuel as a branded FBO, and will expand its storage and deliverable capabilities over the next year.
Baer Air has been in operation since 2003, and started its operations as an FAA-certified company, providing a limited scheduled service to other destinations in Florida and the Bahamas. Over the years it has expanded its range of aircraft, with a charter division, full FBO services, aircraft management and maintenance.
The FBO building is now set for a major expansion, with a ground-breaking ceremony set for April. A new 60,000ft² ramp will be built, accommodating aircraft up to the size of a Boeing Business Jet, and a new building offering corporate offices for lease and hangar space will also begin construction. More staff will be employed as a result.
Gary Hall, president, AEJC, said, “As we routinely provided aircraft maintenance and services to our own fleet, we quickly realized the need for a first-class FBO that could satisfy the needs of the Melbourne International Airport, transit aircraft and tenants. Our charter fleet is growing and we will be adding FAA-certified air ambulance services this year. These past four years, we’ve brought on a number of line technicians and customer service representatives with a combined work experience of more than 40 years.”
