Signature Flight Support has launched the SignatureAssure standard to promote health and safety, cleanliness and hygiene throughout its FBO network in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Signature, which is the world’s largest FBO network with more than 200 locations in 27 countries, has also made a number of modifications to its facilities and enhanced its standard operating procedures. These include implementing a 50-point cleaning checklist to be completed multiple times a day.
These cleaning procedures are supported at high-traffic Signature FBO locations by using electrostatic sprayers, allowing large areas such as lobbies, lounges, and vehicles to be sanitized quickly through the use of a sterile fog.
Enhancements inside terminals include clearly visible social distancing cues in the form of signage and floor markings that encourage 6ft of separation. Furniture and tables have been reconfigured to meet social-distancing guidelines, common touchpoints should be frequently disinfected and items such as literature, linens, and non-essential common use items have been removed from public areas.
The roll-out coincides with a gradual increase in aircraft operations throughout the world. “Now, more than ever, your choice of FBO matters,” said Mark Johnstone, CEO of Signature Aviation and Signature Flight Support.
“Our customers have come to trust and expect our industry-leading approach, and we are investing in the latest technology to ensure the health and safety of our team members, our visiting flight crews, and the traveling public.”
Other measures under the new standard relate to employee readiness and traveler precautions, such as the wearing of masks and the use of thermometers and aircraft safety standards concerning operational aspects such as towing and refueling.

In addition the new standard includes National Car Rental, which is providing sanitized rental cars at all of its FBO locations. Vehicles are subject to National’s ‘Complete Clean Pledge’, which includes a 20 key touchpoint cleaning process prior to every rental.
