Jet Aviation announced its new FBO and hangar terminal in Scottsdale, Arizona will open for business in December 2020.
The company expanded its Palm Beach operation with the opening of a new 42,000 sq. ft. hangar and shared 11,270 sq. ft. FBO terminal in August. It acquired Arlin’s FBO operations in Bozeman, Montana the following month.
Despite Covid-induced challenges in travel and mobility this past year, Jet Aviation continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding its footprint and facilities in locations most frequented by its customers.
The company acquired the Scottsdale Jet Center site in May 2019 and will open its new 8,500 square-foot FBO and 30,000 square-foot hangar facility at Scottsdale Airport in the coming weeks.
“This is our sixth U.S. FBO network project in the past two years, including acquisitions in San Juan (Puerto Rico, February 2019); Scottsdale (Arizona, May 2019) and Bozeman (Montana, September) coupled with hangar and FBO facility investments in Teterboro (New Jersey, October 2019), Van Nuys (California, November 2019), Palm Beach (Florida, August) and now the facility opening in Scottsdale,” said Danny Larsen, vice president of business development and real estate. “Built to complement existing facilities at Scottsdale Airport using cost and energy-efficient construction practices, we further plan to install solar panels at the site next year.”
David Best, SVP regional operations and general manager, USA, emphasized the company’s intention to continue pursuing market opportunities and acquisitions that show growth potential while complementing its portfolio. “We have promised our customers that we will expand to locations where demand is high and are fully committed to delivering industry-leading services as required. With Scottsdale Airport in the top 15 busiest business aviation hubs in the U.S., this new opening underscores our commitment to strengthening our position as a leading FBO provider.”
