Jet Aviation, one of the world’s leading business aviation services companies, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, has signed an FBO management agreement with Pazos FBO, located at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. As part of the deal, the FBO has been renamed Jet Aviation San Juan.
The location is the only FBO in Puerto Rico with a full service, on-site US customs and border protection terminal, making it a convenient point of entry to the Caribbean for South American and European flights.
As Jet Aviation’s 10th FBO in the USA, the facility also features a pilot suite with a shower and a snooze room, flight-planning work stations, an executive passenger lounge, corporate meeting facilities, video conferencing, catering, refueling and aircraft maintenance.
Rob Smith, Jet Aviation group president, said, “The brand new San Juan-based FBO, with more than 20,000ft² of space including expanding aircraft parking ramp with capacity for increased traffic and future additional hangar facilities, is the perfect fit for Jet Aviation to continue expanding our reach within the region.
“We are pleased to be working with Pazos president Jose Maldonado and his team of 61 employees at its former location. Together they have built an impressive operation that delivers excellent service to customers.”
Maldonado added, “For decades, we have provided our clientele with premiere services, which are now enhanced by the company’s new state-of- the-art FBO installation. Adding Jet Aviation’s global strength, resources and management expertise is the perfect next step for us. Our longstanding success and recent expansion have been possible thanks to the hard work, loyalty and dedication of every member of the Pazos family.”
