MFC Aviation has been named the fixed-base operator of the Canandaigua Airport in Ontario County, New York. MFC is a subsidiary of Mercy Flight Central, the region’s non-profit air ambulance service. It will provide services to aircraft, crews and passengers using the airport.
MFC is to hire up to five employees at the airport, who will be on-site from 7am to 5pm every day. They will additionally provide direct support to air ambulance operations. All proceeds from the FBO will go to Mercy Flight.
Mike Manikowski, Ontario County Industrial Development Agency executive director, said, “Canandaigua Airport is an engine for economic development by providing a gateway to the Finger Lakes and the Greater Rochester area.
“The growth of the airport will benefit development within the region, showcasing Ontario County as a leader in economic progress.”
Services offered include fueling, aircraft parking and tie-down, a lounge for crews, and cargo and baggage handling.
