FBO provider Safeport has opened a new executive lounge for business aviation passengers at its facility in Cascais Airport, Portugal.
The new lounge has been designed to create a relaxing and at the same time a practical environment for business aviation for guests and crew to enjoy their time in a refined space filled with contemporary comforts, decorated with the details alluding to the surrounding Atlantic Coast region.
The lounge also overlooks the runway, with an elevated position to enable Safeport clients to enjoy views of landings and take-offs.
The new lounge is the largest on site and includes a spacious comfortable seating area with private restroom, Smart TV, high speed WI-FI and a fully equipped kitchen. The Safeport lounge is located at the entrance of the Passenger Terminal in the airport, just before the passage to the restricted area.
It is staffed by multi-lingual personnel available to provide assistance all year around, 24/7. Safeport’s President Paulo Mirpuri said, “We are all delighted with the response to the new Safeport lounge. There was nothing like it here in Cascais, so it was also a significant milestone for our friends at for Cascais Airport as well as our own design and hospitality team.

Safeport said that Cascais Airport is able to process departures and arrivals without long delays, which makes it popular for business aviation customers.
Cascais itself is an attractive seaside town, with lovely beaches to explore and opportunities for sailing and surfing on its 30 kilometers of coastline. The region hosts many equestrian competitions and also features more than 20 golf courses.
