Sheltair Aviation’s FBOs at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (KPIE) and Tampa International Airport (KTPA) are undergoing renovations to enhance the customer experience, and update the facilitiesβ look and feel.
At PIE, renovations focused on the two-story atrium lobby with its central staircase leading to the second-floor offices, including a refurnished conference room.
On the ground level, the pilot lounge also has new furnishings, while space modifications allowed for flight planning room improvements, the addition of a customer service managerβs office adjacent to reception, and a prominent coffee station.
βOur beautiful FBO terminal at St. Petersburg-Clearwater has always been a point of pride,β said Deen Walker, general manager at Sheltair PIE. βWe want it to look its best, and work well for our guests. Weβre confident this renovation has accomplished that.β
Extensive upgrades are ongoing at Sheltairβs FBO at TPA following the completion of its US$26 million hangar complex.
Floorplan modifications include expanding the entry lobby to increase guest seating by relocating flight planning services to the pilotβs lounge; relocating its smaller conference room to increase seating capacity; and adding a new customer service desk, back-counter check-in area and designated mail room.
Sheltair TPAβs upgrade also includes fully-renovated restrooms with all new fixtures and finishes; an expanded, open-floorplan conference room with natural lighting, a conference table and the addition of a wet bar with lounge seating; and a built-in TV credenza and motorized leather recliners in the pilotβs lounge.
Aesthetic modifications include new wallcoverings, tile flooring with a natural-wood look, new carpet by the lobby airside window and second-floor office corridors, updated lobby seating, and the addition of an advertising banner LED screen above the airside vestibule.
Sheltairβs total investment in the Tampa-area renovations is an estimated US$2.05 million.
βWe value all our customers and always want them to feel comfortable about flying into a Sheltair FBO,β said Lisa Holland, Sheltairβs CEO and president. βThatβs why weβre continuously investing in our facilities to better serve our guests as a premier gateway to the markets that Sheltair serves.β
