World Fuel Services has built and installed a new Avgas self-service system at Rouen Airport in Normandy, France.
Implementation of the self-service fuel system was scheduled around a planned airport closure to minimize disruption to airport customers. World Fuel Services managed all engineering work for the modernization project in the allocated two-week window.
Mark Amor, vice president at World Fuel Services, said, “As a global fuel and aviation solutions provider, we’re fully committed to investing in the business aviation industry across the world. This modernization project is a perfect example of this, bringing up-to-date services to a key French airport to support growth in the region through an enhanced customer experience.
“Time is of the essence for AΓ©roport de Rouen’s business customers and our self-service offering delivers a more efficient Avgas fueling system for private aircrafts traveling through the airport. The successful implementation of the self-service Avgas solution is testament to the hard work of our team and our commitment to flexibility and innovation.”
Agathe Derome, airport director at Rouen Airport, commented, “Our private customers expect the highest quality and most convenient service available so utilizing World Fuel Service’s vast business aviation experience to drive innovation at the airport is of vital importance.
“The complexity of the Avgas self-service refueling system is clear, yet World Fuel Services managed the implementation from end-to-end in just two weeks to coincide with runway maintenance. The introduction of the self-service payment system is just as efficient and we look forward to continuing our relationship for years to come.”
