Web-based aircraft scheduling software provider Airplane Manager has launched a preferred network with FBOs and airports that offers fuel discounts to its members.
FBOs that sign up to the company’s ‘Preferred FBO Network’ will become the preferred provider for Airplane Manager’s members at their airport.
Airplane Manager has over 1500 charter operators and flight departments using their software services. Members can use the service to schedule flights to more than 30,000 airports worldwide and over 5000 FBOs.
There is no charge to become a member of the preferred network, but FBOs must offer a fuel discount to Airplane Manager’s members. There is also no fee for Airplane Manager members to join the network.
The amount of discount is decided by the FBO and currently varies between US$0.30 and US$1.70 per gallon. Airplane Manager has over 60 FBO members signed up to the preferred network so far.
Corporate terminals are often in competition with several other FBO’s located at the airport. Becoming a member of the Airplane Manager Preferred FBO Network could mean more private jets arriving at the preferred terminal, said Terry Cooper, manager at Airplane Manager.
“The Preferred FBO Network is a winning partnership for everyone. We work closely with our members to ensure more of our jet customers visit their FBO,” Cooper said.
“Fuel discounts are always attractive to jet owners, however it is not only about fuel pricing. It is also about service and communication. Our new FBO Network will soon allow an open communication between the jet operator and the FBO. This will make their visits to our partner FBO’s easier and more productive.”
