Maven by Midfield FBO (Maven), a provider of FBO services, has announced the opening of its hangar at the Oakland County Airport in Waterford, MI (KPTK).
The brand-new hangar boasts 28,500 square feet of floor space, providing ample room for aircraft storage, maintenance, and operations.
Additionally, the hangar includes six offices, totaling over 1,200 square feet of leasable office space. These offices are designed to accommodate aviation professionals, business executives, and support staff.
The hangar is equipped with 28-foot, heated, bottom-rolling hangar doors, ensuring smooth and efficient access for aircraft of varying sizes, even in Michigan’s icy winter conditions.
A non-foam fire suppression system has been installed throughout the hangar. Safety remains a top priority for Maven, and this system provides rapid response in case of emergencies.
The hangar is well-equipped with perfectly spaced 480V outlets, catering to the power needs of aircraft, tools, and equipment. This robust electrical infrastructure ensures seamless operations and efficient maintenance processes.
Maven completed a US$400,000 renovation to Hangar 1 in 2022.
The upgrades included a modern, one-piece, all-glass hydraulic door for improved aesthetics and functionality, new epoxy flooring to enhance durability and cleanliness and updated heaters for optimal climate control.
The hangar is situated on a 7.5-acre apron/ramp area, providing ample room for aircraft maneuvering, parking, and loading. Direct customs ramp access ensures seamless international operations for Maven’s clients.
With the addition of this new hangar, Maven’s total hangar storage capacity now exceeds 102,000 square feet.
This expansion allows Maven to accommodate a diverse range of aircraft, from private jets to commercial planes.
The new development complements Maven’s existing four hangars, which collectively offer a combined 141,000 square feet of hangar space.
