Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering Services has expanded its MRO capabilities in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to include hydraulic component maintenance and repair.
The MRO operation now offers full inspection, testing, repair and overhaul of individual hydraulic components and hydraulic assemblies for Bombardier, Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
Stephen Addis, vice president for programs, customer services and business development at Bombardier’s Northern Ireland operation, said, “We are keen to build on over 50 years’ experience in providing MRO services, and are delighted to be able to further expand our capabilities into hydraulics repair with a dedicated team of specialist technicians.
“The development of this hydraulics repair capability allows us to offer a more comprehensive aftermarket service to our customers, which is complementary to our current service offering, and now includes a full nacelle thrust reverser repair service provided in-house.”
Bombardier’s range of aftermarket services include component repair and overhaul of engine nacelles, flight control surfaces, landing gear and electrical harnessing, technical support, modification and repair development, inspection and testing, parts exchange or lease, and mobile repair assistance.
