DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF), a joint venture between the Dubai-based Al-Futtaim group and Germany’s DC Aviation, has been given an extension to its CAR145 approval by the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to provide line maintenance for the Dassault Falcon 7X. It will now offer B1 (airframe) and B2 (avionics) maintenance at its Dubai South hangar.
DCAF also provides line maintenance support to a range of other aircraft – the Bombardier Global Express, Challenger 604/605, the Airbus 320 family, and the Global 6000 and Global 5000 Vision Flight Deck. This will continue to expand with the opening of a new 6,800m² hangar at the end of the year, increasing the number and size of aircraft that can be attended to. The existing hangar measures 5,700m².
Michael Lindgren, director maintenance, DCAF, said, “With this approval from the GCAA, we are in a position to offer our expertise and services to other clients in the region that operate the Falcon 7X. We are extremely proud to successfully complete all the regulatory procedures to receive our CAR145 extension and this approval is further proof of our commitment to provide our VVIP customers with the highest levels of services and maintenance support.”
